VIDEOPREMIÄR: Nervous Nellie – Beacons
Idag släpper bandet Nervous Nellie, med medlemmar från såväl Stockholm och Falkenberg som Chicago, sitt senaste album Where The Nightmare Gets In. Tidigare under hösten stod vi för låtpremiären av You're So Sad, där de gästades av vännen Paloma Faith. Idag har vi äran att få stå för videopremiären till låten Beacons.
– Beacons with it's anthem-like indie sound and dark yet comforting subject matter needed something special visually. For years there has been an ongoing love for skateboarding within the band and after one of many run-ins with photographer, and long time skater, Jörgen Brennicke around town on the board as well as at his exhibition Hey Ho Let's Go in Stockholm the idea to follow his skate crew for a day of bowl skating emerged. With the Beacons video the goal was to portray the comradery and unity that transcends generations and gender when the phenomenon that is skateboard is at its best. Young or old, beginner or advanced it doesn't matter. Participating is more than enough. Imagine if life was like that... säger bandet i en kommentar till GAFFA.
